roam
FPS navigation for Rhino.
Hold the middle mouse button in a perspective viewport and fly — mouse to look, W A S D to move. Release, and you are back in Rhino.
Free · Rhino 8 · Windows
Hold to fly.
Press and hold the middle mouse button. The cursor locks and the view follows the mouse, smoothly damped. Release the button — or press Esc — to exit.
Move.
W A S D — forward, left, back, right. E and Q — up and down. The mouse looks.
Speed.
Shift sprints at 3.5×. Keys 1–5 set presets from 1 to 20 m/s; the scroll wheel fine-tunes, and the setting is remembered. Speeds are in metres per second and scale with the document's unit system.
Settings.
The roam command sets speed and mouse sensitivity.
Shift/Ctrl/Alt
+ middle button are left untouched for Rhino's own behaviour.
Install.
Free, for personal and commercial use. In Rhino: run PackageManager, search
for roam, install, restart Rhino.
